WINDSOR, VERMONT

Mascoma Bank established a branch presence in Windsor, Vermont, in 1998, first at a temporary headquarters on State Street and later at the corner of State Street and Route 5. In exchange for razing one existing building and substantially renovating another on the site, the Bank promised to construct replacement structures that closely imitated the original designs. This resulted in a beautiful modern building that retained elements of the original design, eliminating two of the most prominent eyesores in downtown Windsor and restoring the historical architectural integrity of the town. For a decade after, Windsor experienced a kind of renaissance as other investors followed suit.

Prior to moving to our new Windsor branch in 2000, we operated from 15 State St., the former location of Bank of Windsor, Windsor Savings Bank, and the Windsor County Trust Company.
