KEENE, NEW HAMPSHIRE

The banking history of Keene spans 200 years and has included some iconic names, including Cheshire National Bank of Keene (founded 1804); Ashuelot National Bank of Keene (founded 1833); Keene National Bank (founded 1855); Keene Savings Bank (founded 1895); Cheshire County Savings (founded 1897); and Keene Co-operative Bank (founded 1912). Over time, these banks evolved into First Cheshire, Granite Bank, Indian Head, Ocean, First NH, and CFX, amongst others.
