WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, SYKES AVE, VERMONT

With the acquisitions of New London Trust and Green Mountain Bank, the Bank’s public face grew, but the space for most back office operations did not. With offices in the basement at headquarters and rented space at on Airport Road in Lebanon, the time had come for a centralized Operations Center.

A site was selected in White River Junction, VT, and work began through Banwell Architects, Engelberth Construction, GWR Engineering, MacFarlane-Johnson Engineering, and the Longden Company. The Operations Center was built with a raised floor design to allow for greater flexibility in reconfiguring office space and to improve air quality. Efficiency Vermont used the building as a model for future projects.

Room for future expansion is accomplished by building the “west wing” with an eye towards a matching “east wing” should the need arise.
