Mascoma Bank’s downtown Hanover building opened in November 1985 with three tenant: Hanover Bank & Trust, Carroll Reed, and Hilde’s Salon. “The Galleria Building,” complete with interior escalators, became a branch of BankEast when it acquired Hanover Bank & Trust in November 1987.

November 1, 1999, was its first day as Mascoma Bank.
